1 cup of dark rum 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature 1⁄4 cup packed brown sugar 1⁄4 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1⁄4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg 4 whole cloves 1 cup boiling water Lemon slices and cinnamon sticks for garnish
In a small bowl using an electric mixer, cream the butter and brown sugar together until smooth.
Add the spiced butter mixture to a mug or heatproof glass. Pour in the rum and boiling water.
Garnish with a lemon slice and cinnamon stick. Enjoy sipping slowly while hot!

Substitute blackstrap rum or other dark rum varieties.
